Frequently Asked Questions

Why hire a private driver in Cancun?

Taxis don’t use meters and overcharge tourists routinely. A private driver means a fixed price, a known vehicle, no surge pricing, and someone who knows where everything is.

What information do you need from me to make a reservation?

Pick-up location (a venue or hotel name is more reliable than an address – Cancun addresses are unreliable), date and time, number of passengers, and whether you want hourly or per-ride. Vehicle preference and any special requests are optional.

Can plans change during the ride?

If you booked hourly, yes – just tell the driver. If you booked per-ride, changing the destination may change the price.

Are the vehicles air-conditioned and insured?

All of them, yes. Vehicles are regularly maintained and carry liability insurance plus emergency medical coverage in Mexico. We strongly recommend you also carry your own travel medical insurance – the local insurance does not cover repatriation or medical care in your home country.

Do the drivers speak English?

Comfortable-vehicle drivers speak basic English but have years of experience driving non-Spanish-speaking guests – language is rarely an issue. Luxury vehicles include English-speaking drivers on request.

What is the difference between a "comfortable" vehicle and a "luxurious" vehicle?

Comfortable vehicles are clean, new, well-maintained – but not branded luxury. Luxury vehicles are premium models.

How do I pay?

Cash (USD or Mexican pesos) or online. Online payment must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Is gratuity included?

No. Tipping is optional, but appreciated for good service.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the ride.
